Final Video



Reality is not a perfect program. First it could not show the animation under the render effect. And it also will miss some part of animation when export the work. So the few of effects I want to show in my Reality could work and most of than I might just show the render animation. I was really sorry about that. Hope could produce future.
And introduce my video:
I made a booklet like story book to display the animation in Reality. And I leave it in the FBE Student Centre. And first part was separated to three makers, one for the site, one for the church and one for the people. Each of part has their own animation; site got the car cross the road every 10seconds, church façade was scaled down in order to show the structure of church, People walked into the church from everywhere.
Second part was separated to two parts, one was site and church and the other one show the tank coming through the site and fired the bomb in the end. The bomb attracted the opposite the helicopter through the church. (But in Reality the bomb was disappear)
Third part was separated to two parts as well, one for the site and church, the other for the helicopter. Church was destroyed by the bomb and bomb cross the church and hurt the helicopter. The Helicopter was destroyed and knocked over. (In the Reality the bomb did not move as I did in 3d max. it stayed the end of position.)
Forth part was the final part and was showed by two markers, one was the final site destroyed in the war and people was injured and crawled out.
The concept of my work was in the war you will be dead without reason. Everyone was innocent, and the war only brings the people despair.

INTERIM(PEOPLE)

And now, I was trying to do some animation in 3D MAX.
First I did a bomber cross through the sky.



And then, do more complex, walking people animation.

INTERIM(CHURCH)

(First TRY)
That was my first try, and took about 50 photos and imported into Photosynth program. The model was watched 75% and lost one of facade.
And I found the reason was the photos of this facade was too close and did not take photos this facade related to the others.

(Second TRY)
This time, I took more photos and also upload the last model photos. Finally, I had the perfect model, 100% match.
But the model still lose some parts, like the roof and the base of church. The reason was the roof reflect the sun light and in the program the roof became the windows. So the roof disappeared. Since the roof was not influenced the model too much, I might build one in the 3D MAX. And then keep going...

That were two photots, the model show in the 3D MAX with texture. And Since the church was built on the slope, the base of model was not horzontal. I created the simple site and made the step. And build the strucutre of church. Make the video below.

Assignment 3 - PROPOSAL

I want to continous the Assignment 1 work and process funther.
For this one, I will create the whole church, not just one facade. That's why I need to go back and take more photos. And build the model in photosynthsis. Visite the church and remember the structure of church. Build up the constructure of church in the 3D MAX.
Use the function name 'reactor' in 3D MAX to create the ruins of church after bomb attracted.(Print the church ruins)
Finally, create the animation of the church be attracted. And use the BUILD AR do the preseation and video.

Final Submission






Marker

Here 8 markers were designed by myself and each marker meaned a part of building.

Tube: Tube was most important elements in the Sendai Media Centre. All the structure was supported by these 13 tubes through the building. And that was tube structure show in the marker.

Site: The Sendai Media Centre located in City of Sendai, Japan. Like the symbol show the buildings was crowed.

Facade: The facade was seprate from the main structure of building.
Ground Level: Cafe and Palaze for the public.

Assignment 2

Since this program was not so popular now, we need have more fun and exciting processing to attract people's eyes. Then this kind of knownledge will be improved and popularized.

So I want to create a 3D puzzle for children. the puzzle was made up by several marks, and each mark is one part of project. Children could wear 3D glass to build up the puzzle in 3D way.


And compared to the traditional puzzle, the 3D one was more interesting and can learn more. The 3D puzzle has a really good commecial value. That was my idea.


And this time, I choosed a architecture model, named Sendai Media Centre, which was designed by Toyo Ito. The sketchup model was made by myself and partener. It was really nice and detail model. So when you play the puzzle, you will konw a lot about this building.

Import an animation model into BuildAR

This model was I did before inMilkShape 3D which was normally used in the game design. And the export file was .md2.

The texture of model did not appear, but the animation worked so well by this program.

Have some interesting TRY

Start using program:
When u put the mark in the front of camera, it appeared the blue box.
Next downloads a famous building from google sketchup, and explod the .3ds file. Import the model into buildar.

PROCESSING (Step 3)

Since I never used the 3D MAX before, I used the Rhino program instead.
(Add base and adject the size of model)
(Build the construction of church)
(Make the building in the war, like broken several beams and timbers)

And then make several small things, like broken cross, doors and windows.

And save the model into .obj. Now finish the second step.

PROCESSING (Step 1)

In case, I chose the two churchs in Coogee. And since one of the church was with tower, it might be hard to create the whole facade by my camera. So I used this church to practice. And I selected 5 points front of the main facade and take 3 photos on each point. And the result of photosynth was perfect, 100%. From the above black and white photos, the city and human was devastated caused by the war. And my idead was to create a reality church in the war and make people feel the importance of peace, that was why I chose the building surround us and the type of building, church.

Church should be the most beautiful and sacred place, if even this kind of building was destroyed and abandoned. That mean human destroyed their own beliefs. Human without faith was hopeless. And that was the war gave us 'Despair'.

Go Ahead (Meshup)

After had nice photosynthy model, use the program download and make the model in the meshup.

And in the program meshup, I got a nice 3-D model watch. Then clean the no use staff, use the method showing in the video by using 'select face by vertex color', select the grey color and delete all the surround watch staff.
And now select 'surface reconstruction poission', and change the octree depth to 10. And get the final model but without color. You could see the shape of watch and with some support ground

Now transfer the orginal color to the plaster. And save the project to .obj. And use the 3D Max to open this floder.
